The metal sheath around the probe cable makes them even more indestructible than standard Sonosite ultrasound probes. They can be chewed on by a horse (as demonstrated here), get caught in a crush door, get stood on by a horse or rolled over with a trolley. The metal armoured sheath can take a 2-tonne point weight so no need to fret!
These probes are supported on the Edge II, making it the ideal choice for ambulatory equine practice.
